John Travolta's Son Suffers Fatal Seizure

Pulp Fiction actor John Travolta, 53, and his 46-year-old wife Kelly Preston's 16-year-old son, Jett, has died, reports TMZ.

Rand Memorial Hospital, a medical center in the Bahamas, confirmed the passing. The family was vacationing on Grand Bahama Island, where attempts to revive the teenager were unsuccessful after he suffered a seizure, said family attorney Michael Ossi.

A police spokesperson also told TMZ that Jett struck his head in a bathtub of the family home, at Old Bahama Bay Hotel.

Jett, survived by eight-year-old little sister Ella, has long been rumored to be autistic. The family's official position has been that Jett was afflicted with Kawasaki disease.

Kawasaki is a treatable disease that effects the skin and lymph nodes. If left untreated, it can cause heart complications.

This is obviously a time of great sadness in the Travolta household. As the video below (posted on YouTube by grieving fans of the actor) shows, the family has lost a cherished member:

i cant even imagine what it would be like to lose someone so dear. this is just terrible. seems like a time when a lot of celebrities are losing their family members (remember jennifer hudson's mother and nephew and Mark Ruffallo's brother??)

I was sad to hear the loss of Mr. Travoltas and Mrs. Prestons son. He is a very private man when it comes to his children and the family will most likely grieve quietly... I hope they know how everyone is thinking of them.... and that our hearts go out to all of the family. Having children myself, I cannot imagine ever losing one of them..... I cry for your family, John and Kelly
