Report: Jon Gosselin Gets Some Religion

Oct 20, 2009 at 7:30am

Jon Gosselin has a lot on his mind these days, to put things lightly.

So, it’s no surprise that the father of eight decided to seek some advice on how to deal with his messy life over the weekend.

Hollywood Life is reporting that Jon asked a panel, including Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, “how to regain control of his personal life and family,” while in front of 1,000 people on Sunday at Central Synagogue in NYC.

He asked for their intelligent opinion on ”how to teach his kids real values in light of the divorce he’s going through.”

A source revealed,

Elie told Jon to “teach your kids values, not to be selfish and not get carried away with being famous.” Rabbi Shmuley told Jon to “dedicate time for his kids without distractions” and Dr. Oz said the kids should learn to “have respect for others.”

Rabbi Shmuley explained, “He came as our participant, and he came without Hailey. It was a great forum … I believe that Jewish values can help people going through a divorce. I told him to be a responsible father before a celebrity.”

Only time will tell if Jon takes all, if any, of their advice seriously.
