Report: Lindsay Lohan Doesn’t Want to Go to Rehab

Jul 28, 2010 at 8:29am

Lindsay Lohan reportedly doesn’t think that it’s “fair” that she will be immediately sent to an inpatient rehab facility once she is released from jail.

RadarOnline reports Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley visited the 24-year-old incarcerated actress on Tuesday and said Lindsay was unhappy that she would be forced to head to rehab less than 24 hours after she is released from jail.

According to Shawn, Lindsay wants to spend more time with her family when she is released. Shawn says:

The issue is how much time she will have once she’s released before she has to serve the second part of her sentence … which is rehab. She’d obviously like to spend some time with her family, and there’s at least some question as to whether or not she’ll go directly to rehab.

I think it’s only fair she spend some time with her family, and that’s what she’d like for me to emphasize to Judge Revel.

A judge sentenced the Mean Girls star to 90 days in jail and 90 days in inpatient rehab for violating her probation related to her 2007 DUI conviction.

Although Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in the slammer, she will reportedly only serve a fraction of that time. When asked when Lindsay would get released from jail, Shawn said she “doesn’t know.” Prisoners are often released earlier due to overcrowding.

Shawn reports that aside from the quibble about downtime before rehab, Lindsay is in good spirits, saying “She’s eating and drinking … She looks great.”
