REPORT: Tom Cruise Sustains Minor Injury in Motorcycle Accident

Mar 7, 2010 at 2:22pm

Good thing Tom Cruise gets in all that stunt practice.

Hollywood Life reports that the Mission: Impossible actor sustained a minor injury in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles today, and it might have been a lot worse if not for his cat-like reflexes.

The incident occurred at approximately noon on Sunday on La Cienega Blvd., when a car blew through a stop sign in front of the actor. Cruise quickly leaned his Ducati motorcycle toward an SUV, sliding its wheel into the SUV’s back tire and avoiding a collision with the other car.

Though witnesses report seeing Cruise limping as he sought refuge in a nearby restaurant and paramedics were called, Cruise declined to be taken to the hospital, stating  that he was fine. The gears on Cruise’s bike were reportedly shredded, and the tire on the SUV was dented by the impact.
