Apparently, Rihanna has a habit of tending to her buddy Chris Brown's physical maladies.

Proving once again what a good friend she is, the Barbados-born singer rushed to her totally monogamous pal's side yesterday to provide a comforting presence as he nursed a bruised noggin.

Actually, the contusion was an effect for Bone Deep, the flick that Brown is currently filming with Matt Dillon—Rihanna came to visit on the set—making the injury as phony as the quasi-couple's constant "We're just friends!" claims.

If only the same could be said of Rihanna's financial woes.
