For someone who claims to be high-minded, Robert Downey Jr. has trouble grasping the plots to comic-book movies.

Downey—whose new comedy Tropic Thunder toppled The Dark Knight from the Number 1 spot at the box office over the weekend—trashed the Christian Bale-starring Batman movie because he couldn’t wrap his mustachioed little head around it.

“I loved The Prestige but didn’t understand The Dark Knight,” Downey pooh-poohs. “Didn’t get it, still can’t tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character…

“This is so high-brow and so f*cking smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie,’” Downey continued. “You know what? F*ck DC comics. That’s all I have to say and that’s where I’m really coming from.”

Totally, Rob.The Dark Knight franchise could really stand to throw in a few retard jokes and maybe a minstrel show.
