Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law Have a Play Date
Actors Jude Law, 37, and Robert Downey Jr., 43, have been spending an awful lot of time together. Along with recently single Canadian Rachel McAdams, 30, Downey and Law are providing 40-year-old director Guy Ritchie with a stellar cast for his currently filming remake of Sherlock Holmes.
Downey stars as the brilliant, if temperamental, sleuth Sherlock. Law is along as the oft-befuddled Dr. John Watson.
On Friday, the period piece was shooting in Liverpool, the birthplace of the Beatles. When the workday was done, Jude and Robert—seen here—met up and shared a meal in the historical port city.
The Sherlock Holmes set seems to be a particularly convivial one. The two lead stars have been spotted socializing with the film’s director.
As you may have read, Guy Ritchie has been in need of pleasant diversion lately, and rumors had him seeking solace with another of his performers, Kelly Reilly, 31.
From these arm-in-arm shots, it looks like Robert and Jude share an especially tight bond.
Maybe that comes from Jude literally saving Roberts jewels…
