Robert Pattinson, Control Freak?
Robert Pattinson may seem like the happy-go-lucky type, but make no mistake—when it comes to his acting career, he rules his destiny with an iron fist.
During a press conference to promote the Twilight sequel New Moon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday, the World’s Sexiest Vampire admitted that he has a wee bit of trouble relinquishing control to others. As in, he hates it and avoids doing so at all costs:
“I have very specific ideas about how I want to do my work and how I want to be perceived and when…and to the point of ridiculousness sometimes. I don’t listen to anyone else, that’s why I don’t have a publicist at all, I can’t stand it when someone is telling me how to do something. It’s maybe a mistake sometimes. I like being meticulous and it’s difficult as an actor to have that control.”
Now if only he could apply some of that control to his rabid fans…

Whatever works for him is fine with me. It doesn’t affect us.
as long as he’s not some asswipe diva jerk on set terrorizing folks, who really cares. and according to talk he’s not. too many younger stars leave everything up to other folks and that’s not good either. Rob needs to be able to enjoy the work he’s doing and be proud of the end result so is that means picking what mags he’s in, what shows he appears on AND what roles he plays, it is his life and his career. better that than the sometimes scary feeling of being totally out of control that can come with celebrity (anyone else remember the rumors of panic attacks and such when he was doing that film in NYC)

He’s awesome. Definitely not perfect though… get a reality check ladies. But I like him all the same… BECAUSE he’s a regular dude, not some creepy fantasy “ideal man.” Can’t wait to see him in other roles…
