Robert Pattinson Gets Double-Dissed by the Razzies
First the good news: Robert Pattinson is finally getting some attention from the awards community.
Now the bad news: It's from the Razzie Awards.
The Razzies—which for the past three decades have been dishonoring those who they deem have made the worst contributions to the movies every year—have heaped multiple nominations on R-Pattz this year. Not only did Pattinson garner a Worst Supporting Actor nod for his work in the Twilight sequel New Moon (his competition includes Billy Ray Cyrus and Hugh Hefner), but he's up against his hunky co-star Taylor Lautner for the male half of this year's Worst Screen Couple.
Ouch!
The Razzies take place at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood on March 6—the day before the Oscars. Twi-hards, get working on those protest signs now!

i think the actors and director(s) are making the most of what is essentially a crap story. and making good money with it. robert pattinson could recover (30somethings may remember johnny depp starting out in the horrible 21 jump street. look where that's got him in the end..)
Finally an award these movies have actually earned. I usually don’t like the razzeis but they do get bonus points for being one of the few awards shows that knows what crap this series really is, this and those really heavy awards like GG and Oscars knows it too. And second biggest BO movie last year? No, it came in #7, after ‘Avatar’, ‘Harry Potter 6’, ‘Ice Age 3’, ‘Transformers 2’, ‘2012’ and ‘Up’. Every one of the actors in Twilight did a bad job when working together in the Twilight-movies, I find all of them good in their other projects, well besides K-Stew who is bad in everything she does, but in these movie they are all just bad, I’m still not sure why but that’s how it is.
I don't find it funny. I think it is insulting. Rob Pattinson is a truly gifted artist. Rob and Kristen were fantastic in both Twilight movies as a couple. How arrogant and insulting for a movie that was the second highest money maker of the year to be nominated for this distinction. How arrogant and insulting to Rob Pattinson fans that their opinion as demonstrated by box office receipts is completely disregarded. Oh that's right, they know better than I do what I like and who I will support. I don't think so. Not a fan of the Razzies but sometimes they make some sense. Not in this case. The box office has nothing to do with awards, if awards were based on a popularity contest only the worst movies would win. These awards, as much as any other awards even though they're made to mock the industry, are based on the acting from the movie, and I'm sorry, but Robert has better films than Twilight and/ or New Moon. I hate the series, but however I think Robert does have talent, but his acting in the Twilight series is completely horrific.

hahaha this is sooo funny his TRUE FANS no how GOOD he is and don't forget it is US the fans who put the MONEY in your pockets (RAZZIES) poor grammar and such aside, you are correct that in the end the Razzies mean less than the box office. And Robert is a fine and growing actor. This isn't going to hurt him much. Especially when the real brains in the industry note that he was barely in New Moon and the 'supporting' role was really Taylor. Making this Nom really just the Razzies digging cause they are sick of all the mags and such treating Robert like the Second Coming.
k-stew is a really bad actress. . Expressionless. . I think Robs acting is quite good. . I love his character in Twilight/New Moon. . I guess most girlies have a crush on his Edward Cullen role not him in person. .

Their acting is so bad. I couldn't even sit through the whole movie. Hopefully they will be good in the movies they have coming out now...but twilight... wow horrible acting
He is a terrible actor, almost as bad as k-stew. Neither of them did justice to the books. How did they find these actors. Seriously. While I like my Robsten I do have to agree with you. I expected so much more from the actors while portraying these characters on screen. I think the acting will be better on the last two movies though.

Rob & Kristen's acting took a dive in New Moon under the direction of Chris Weitz. Their acting was way way better in Twilight. They lost all the magic and chemistry they had in Twilight. Chris Weitz should win for WORST DIRECTOR.
