The Twilight heartthrob was filming his new romance Remember Me in New York on Monday when he took advantage of a break in production to fill his lungs with sweet, sweet tobacco smoke.
Maybe he should consider chewing gum instead?

Yes, Rob does smoke. Hate he smokes, but love Rob. Hopefully one day he’ll get the strength to quit. But get your facts right. the character he’s playing (Tyler) smokes, it’s in the script.

I used to be a smoker… All I can say is, all you bitches need to get off his back about quitting smoking! He’ll quit when he’s ready not because all of you are breathing down his neck about it! Just because he’s hot does not give any of you the right to dictate what he should and should not do! Give him some sanity – an outlet – his ciggies! He leads a crazy life as it is! Back the eff off!
Of course he should stop smoking and I’m sure of that , because I smoked too. But considering all that this guy has been facing, the fame, fans, papparazzis, no privacy at all. It is almost impossible! He can not even do his job! I’m really sad and shocked with all this situation and I wonder if this all necessary.
This kind of situation is not fair to the fans, who dont approve such behavior.
I sincerely hope that Robert does not change his way of dealing with the fans after that.

Robert Pattinson, *sigh. Amazingly amazing guy. Seriously. Smoking is amazing, have you ever tried it? I smoked for 5 years, 1-2 packs a day. Yep. The whole coughing up blood thing daily? And always having a chest cold? Yeah. Didn’t go over so well with me. I quit smoking August 16th, 2005. Cold turkey. I made up my min six months beforehand, and smoked my lungs out… because I promised I would never smoke again in my entire life. And to this day I am proud, but what to smoke more than anything in the world… well, except for being alive healthily. If Rob and Kristin want to smoke, let them. Right now, they are like mere Gods among mortals. They probably never ever want to stop and have no intention to. However, all it takes to stop is the decision… the person has to live, breath, accept the decision. Nothing else beside a person’s will will help a person to quit anything. Stay strong, all you people out there who need strength!!!!
Ive read the script for this movie he is shooting Tyler (his character) smokes and his family and friends give him crap about it through out the movie… He is a smoker in real like I would be too if I had the kind of stress he has.
