Misty-Mae Treanor's injury is apparently Rocco DiSpirito's saving grace.
Even though DiSpirito and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, came in dead-last during last night's Dancing With the Stars competition, they avoided the boot due to a line-up gap created by Treanor's ruptured Achilles tendon.
Even so, DiSpirito tells Us Weekly that he's not resting on his nonexistent laurels.
"We're grateful to have another chance," the chef says. "We're bummed that Misty's gone, bummed that Misty got hurt... We're really going to have to do a lot of work to honor Misty through our dancing in this competition!"
So how do he and Smirnoff plan to step up their game and stay in the competition?
"We're just going to try and strategize and put in as much of an entertainment factor to the next dance as possible," Karina notes. "At the end of the day, we owe it to our fans to do as best of a job as we absolutely can."
And if that fails, maybe they can pray that someone throws out a hip next week.

I bet I know where Rocco hides his bottle of Smirnoff...
They should hire Jeff Gillooly.
