Has A-Rod Been Scoring with Madonna?
Is part-time New Yorker Madonna rutting for the home team these days?
Just days after the singer and her husband, Guy Ritchie, were spotted on separate continents not wearing their wedding rings, the New York Daily News is reporting that New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has made “numerous” late-night visits to Madge’s Upper West Side apartment lately, slinking back out “as late as midnight.”
Madonna is currently in New York rehearsing for her upcoming Sweet & Sticky tour. Rodriguez, who’s married with two daughters, raised eyebrows last year when he was spotted with Scores stripper Joslyn Noel Morse during a Yankees road trip to Toronto.
This isn’t the first time that the slugger and the singer have been associated in the public eye. Rodriguez reportedly attended Madonna’s April 30 concert in New York, while she attended a Yankees game in June.
Predictably, Madge’s superflack, Liz Rosenberg, told People magazine, “There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.
“Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that.”
Well, that settles it, then—if a veteran publicist can’t be taken at her word, is it possible to trust anyone?
A-Rod was probably just dropping by Madge’s place for batting tips. With guns like hers, she could knock one over the Green Monster like it was a picket fence.
