A-Rod Denies Fling with ‘Friend’ Madonna
Alex Rodriguez had every intention of speaking to People about the charitable baseball clinic for children that he runs, but instead he found himself answering various questions about his alleged romance with the recently-divorced Madonna.
“We’re friends,” the New York Yankees star, 33, says. He then clarifies by adding, “We’re friends—that’s it.”
Early last week there were rumors that Madonna, 50, and Rodriguez flew to Miami together for Thanksgiving. As well, photos surfaced that were shot from far away, said to be of the pair.
But A-Rod is shooting back at the speculation on that subject. “I can tell you this: I have never been on a plane with her.”
Both Rodriguez and Madge share the same manager, Guy Oseary. If indeed there is nothing romantic going on between the two, the Oseary connection could be the root of the reading between the lines going on in the press.
“I’ve been to two [of her] concerts, yet I’ve read that I went to 20,” A-Rod clarifies. “I’ve also read that we were buying an apartment together. That is absolutely ridiculous and not true. You have to have a sense of humor when it comes to this stuff.”
Well, here’s hoping Alex’s wife Cynthia, 36, and daughters Nathasha, 4, and Ella, 1, are still laughing.
