‘Rolling Stone’ Has Britney Spears Covered

All the pieces seem to be in place for a major Britney Spears comeback: A Number 1 single. A hotly anticipated album, Circus, drops on December 2—which also, not coincidentally, is Spears’ 27th birthday.

And now, Brit-Brit graces the cover of the December 11 issue of Rolling Stone—out Friday—accompanied by a no-holds-barred update on her current state of affairs.

Spears—who recently claimed that she “feels like a prisoner” under her father Jamie‘s conservatorship and Larry Rudolph‘s management—expands on that theme in the interview, revealing, “I feel like an old person now. I do! I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don’t go out or anything.”

Britney’s mood brightens when she discusses her two sons, three-year-old Sean Preston and two-year-old Jayden James. “Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they’re such special people,” says Spears, who surrendered a custody battle for the boys in July but visited her home state of Louisiana with them earlier this month.

There is one slight problem: The tots are developing a taste for salty language.

Britney blames this early-onset profanity on their father, 30-year-old Kevin Federline. “[They're] starting to learn words like ‘stupid,’ and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.”

The adult vocabulary isn’t necessarily a bad thing. For instance, if the lads ever run into certain men from Britney’s past, they’ll be able to say, “F*ck off, you stupid jerk.” Which is a vital life skill.
