RPattz Avoids Spotlight At Pal’s Concert
While hordes of Twilight stars were jetting around the United States to mark the release of the DVD this weekend, head vampire Robert Pattinson was making a low-key appearance at a friend’s music gig.
Pattinson tried to stay out of sight at pal Sam Bradley‘s Vancouver concert on Friday night to avoid Twilight-mania from overwhelming the intimate setting, a source tells Celebuzz.
“He wanted to be as low-key as possible,” the source tells Celebuzz. “If he had really been out there, it would have caused a frenzy.”
“He stayed with Sam backstage before the show and watched the concert from the wings.”
The event was the hot ticket in Vancouver, with scores of fans vying for 180 spots at the Grandview Legion in downtown Vancouver. The concert even earned a breathy piece in the Vancouver Sun about the difficulties in buying tickets. Disappointed fans had to be turned away, as there was simply no room in the low-key setting.
Pattinson did not even come out to sing the song he co-wrote with Bradley called “Never Think,” which was performed by Pattinson on the Twilight soundtrack.
Meanwhile on Friday, Twilighter Ashley Greene made a surprise visit at a Los Angeles video store, where an estimated 2,000 screaming fans awaited her arrival. Rachel Lefevre surprised 2,500 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Kellan Lutz, Greene and Lefevre showed up at Kitson in West Hollywood on Saturday.
I’m surprised Rpattz wasn’t made to attend any DVD release parties??
Pattinson has worked his socks off for this franchise. About time he had a rest. Summit owe him big time. Get the miserable Kristen Stewart to do some or the ott eager beaver Lautner,

she was really good in the other movie “the messengers”..:) i like her, but again, not a very good bella…
this story is stupid and i don’t think it is true. it sounds like someone wants to make up a juicy story. i was at this concert and there was certainly not any trouble getting in. also, the venue was quite large and there were way more than 180 people there. it was a great show, though, and all the fans in attendance were there to see sam bradley not robert pattinson. sam bradley was a great singer before twilight came around.

I’m thrilled that Rob did something he wanted to do like SUPPORT ONE OF HIS FRIENDS..yes the studio should think about protection for himl, considering we have confessed rapists making stupid comments on this site. As far as Kristen, Ms. B……, she certainly needs to smile, hell she’s SUPPOSE to be an actress, we know she can breath heavy and stutter real well maybe they can teach her to smile.

I agree! I was there too and there was no MASS of fans vying to get in. It was farily low key, in fact.
Dont be silly – noone gives a toss about Bradley. He’s two a penny. They were there incase Pattinson showed up. I rather Pattinson’s version of the song anyway. He has a much more soulful voice.

yep, it must be true because all of us sound pretty negative and bummed. i don’t begrudge the guy to have fun out away from the public eye. i just think it detracts from the real talent of sam bradley when they make up stories. sam’s show was the real deal – not a twilight screaming frenzy event. there was no “hot” ticket to this show. you just paid a kid 8 bucks and got a stamp on your hand and then saw a really good performance.

i’m sure your right about that.
I was also there, and we bought our tickets at the door. Sam is a great artist and seeing him live was a treat. There weren’t even that many young people there, thank heaven it was 19+, I could only imagine what it would be like if it were all ages. If Mr. Pattinson wants to support his friend then props to him. In the mean time, Sam should be the one to concentrate on, he is an excellent song writer and performer.
Rob has walmart visits and the kids chice awards and Kristen makes movies….It is evident who will make it in hollywood and it isn’t the new zac efron
maybe Rob is taking his time to see what project he’ll do next or maybe he isn’t interested in “making it in Holywood” like Kristen. I mean it’s great that she’s making films, but, man she hasn’t even finished highschool, she doesn’t even have the basic education. At least Rob, after school, attended a very prestigious theatrical school….

this story is actually totally accurate surprisingly. he was there all night chilling backstage and watching from the wings. the venue sold out with 300 people in attendance.

Were you there?? do you know how to count to 300??? Maybe including all the staff, the door people, and coat check..maybe…MAYBE it was 300. It was still a great show none the less, why are people wasting time with this??? Why am I wasting 3 minutes writing this?? The whole line-up was great, Sam was great. Who cares is Rob was there..
