The grown somewhat stout Russell Crowe, 44, was spotted getting physical in Beverly Hills on Monday.
Crowe and a friend (or strict trainer) set a brisk two-wheeled pace with some healthy biking.
The Body of Lies star gained upward of 60 pounds for his role in the CIA drama, and has seemed to have difficulty shedding it.
He's currently in post-production for the political thriller State of Play with Ben Affleck (where his journalist character obviously didn't have any nude scenes) and is getting ready to start filming his dual roles as Robin Hood and his nemesis the Sheriff of Nottingham in the Robin Hood movie Nottingham with director Ridley Scott.
Robin Hood is a classical character of daring-do. Scott must be on Crowe like white on rice to lose that extra 60 pounds. The movie-going public wants a hero who can take his shirt off while he runs through Sherwood Forest robbing from the rich and giving to the poor.
Hence the biking. And the high fan anticipation for Nottingham.
That bakery will just need to find another benefactor.

I heard he ran over and ate five pigeons just on that short bike ride. Dieting can be difficult.
