X-Men Origins: Wolverine may have just come out in theaters, but it's already spawned at least two new movies.
Variety reports that Twentieth Century Fox is starting development on Deadpool, a spinoff based on the character that Ryan Reynolds plays in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
This isn't very surprising, as the character is one of the most popular in the X-Men comics. Reynolds plays Wade Wilson, who submits himself to the Weapon X genetic alteration experiment after finding out that he is dying from cancer, and becomes an indestructible anti-hero.
Fox is also in the early stages of developing a Wolverine sequel, based on the samurai storyline that is hinted at the end of the Hugh Jackman film, which made $87 million opening weekend.

Ryan Reynolds was the best part of the movie. FACT.
Deadpool is a perfect match for Ryan, been hoping that he would get this role for a few years now.
I would ABSOLUTELY go to a Deadpool movie. Not just because I love Ryan Reynolds, but because Deadpool is perfect for him. Tough badass with an attitude. Can't wait!
