Say what you will about about Ryan Seacrest; his choice of business partners may sometimes leave a lot to be desired, but the man knows how to strike a deal.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Seacrest has inked a three-year contract with CKX—the parent company of American Idol‘s producer 19 Entertainment—that will put another $15 million in his pocket annually.

For the math-impaired, that’s $45 million total.

In exchange, Seacrest has agreed to continue hosting Idol, as well as any CYK show that might succeed it.

The deal triples Seacrest’s previous salary of $5 million per year.
