The SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards nominations were announced Thursday morning, and Meryl Streep's Catholic school molestation drama Doubt is up for the most wins.
The film, which also stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, received five nominations, including nods to Streep, 59, Hoffman, 41, Adams, 34, and Viola Davis, 43. It is also nominated for a cast award.
Other films that earned nominations for their entire cast include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the Richard Nixon interview drama Frost/Nixon, the gay-rights biopic Milk and Danny Boyle's Indian gameshow fantasy romance Slumdog Millionaire.
Best actress nominations went to Kate Winslet for Revolutionary Road, and Anne Hathaway in Rachel Getting Married; Angelina Jolie in Changeling; and Melissa Leo in Frozen River.
Winslet, 33, was also nominated for supporting actress for her role as a possibly Nazi concentration camp matron on trial in The Reader.
And for best actor? Richard Jenkins, 61, The Visitor; Frank Langella, 70, Frost/Nixon; Sean Penn, 48, Milk; Brad Pitt, 45, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button; and Mickey Rourke, 52, The Wrestler.
The late, lamented Heath Ledger's turn as the best movie villain in decades (the Joker in The Dark Knight) earned him a supporting actor nomination.
The nominations were read by actress Angela Bassett, actor Eric McCormack, and Screen Actors Guild president Alan Rosenberg.
The SAG Awards will be broadcast live on TNT and TBS on January 25.
These awards are widely regarded as precursors to potential Oscar nominations.
