Scarlett Johansson To Take On 'Iron Man 2'?

Scarlett Johansson may be taking over the role of Marvel Comics' Russian super-spy Black Widow in the sequel to Iron Man, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Actress Emily Blunt, the previous choice for the role, may have to step down due to scheduling conflicts with the filming of Twentieth Century Fox's Gulliver's Travels.

Johansson, 24, would play Natasha Romanova, a lethal redhead and anti-heroine who has matched wits with Iron Man and Daredevil in the pages of Marvel Comics for decades.

At least she already has swooping down.

Johansson is reportedly in talks with returning director Jon Favreau and producers to squeeze into the Widow's latex bodysuit and strap on the guns.

There is no script or production start date as of yet, so Scarlett would have time to work on her Russian accent.

If she does join the production, hopefully it will work out a lot better than her previous superhero gig, The Spirit.
