Sean Penn Gets Cold Feet About Divorce…Again
Sean Penn just can’t seem to commit to ending a relationship.
People magazine reports that, for the second time in almost as many years, the Milk actor has halted divorce proceedings against his wife, Robin Wright Penn.
Penn most recently filed for legal separation from Penn, whom he married in 1996, in late April. But on Thursday he filed a request to dismiss the separation, according to Marin County, California, court records.
“This appears to imply that they’re reconciling again,” says Lynn Soodik, a Los Angeles divorce lawyer who apparently moonlights as a master of the obvious. “It’s unlikely Sean Penn would request a dismissal for any other reason.”
Penn has had practice at this sort of thing. he and his wife filed for divorce in December 2007, only to rescind the request in April 2008.
And some people say the institution of marriage is in danger these days…
