They may play brother and sister on Showtime's creepy crime drama Dexter, but Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are lovers in real life.

And now they're married! The pair are said to have eloped on New Year's Eve. They had been quietly dating for over a year.

"They were married outdoors in Big Sur, California," the wedded couple's rep Craig Bankey told E! Online.

The site notes that Jennifer, 29, carried a bouquet of white roses with her grandfather's wedding band attached.

It's the second marriage for Hall, 37, who was previously married to his Broadway Chicago co-star Amy Spanger for four years. They split in 2006.

The newly-married couple will appear together on the red carpet at tonight's Golden Globe Awards ceremony, where Hall is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series—Drama, and Dexter is competing for Best Television Series—Drama.

After wrapping up its third season last year, the series has been picked up by Showtime for an additional two more 12-episode runs.
