Selena Gomez sure is stepping into some big shoes these days.
The Wizards of Waverly Place star and budding songstress rocked the San Antonio Rodeo on Sunday, peppering her set with a daring choice of covers: “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” by her namesake Selena Quintanilla, the Tejano music legend who was tragically murdered by her fan-club president in 1995 at the age of 23.
Oh, and watching from the sidelines as Selena tackled a classic? None other than Nick Jonas, looking dapper and going native in a black cowboy hat. Hmm; those two sure do seem to be hanging out a lot together lately…

I know the song well and she did a pretty good job. She needs help with her stage presence though. She looked like a 3 year old skipping around. Anyway Nick looked great. Wow it speaks a lot of him to be there to support her on Superbowl weekend.

No…don’t take on a classic like that. No. listen at 1:50 when she goes to do the second ‘asi’. She didn’t have the chops for that song. It’s great that Nick was there though.
Selena should just stick to acting because she does not have the vocals to sing.
I honestly think she butchered that song because she couldn’t hit the notes she was suppose to hit.
Her voice is too weak and you can totally tell that she can’t speak Spanish let alone sing it.

she did an ok job. i love selena. very talented young girl. love that shes with nick, hes great support and influence. but lets be realistic, she didnt pronounce half the words right and when youre gonna cover for such an inportant song of a great beloved singer like Selena Quintanilla was to all hispanics like myself, you better have it together. overall shes a great entertainer, love her song Naturally, but she needs more singing lessons. maybe Nick can help her :)

Selena is actually the only Disney star who can act and her singing is improving and she sounds very good at leat she has a women voice n not a man voice you know…
