Selena Gomez Celebrates Sweet 16 With Record Deal

Disney's next superstar, Selena Gomez, turned 16 today and celebrated by signing her first record deal with Hollywood Records.

Miley Cyrus' new arch-enemy was a free agent despite being affiliated with Disney due to her Wizards of Waverly Place role. Many, many record execs were courting the perky youngster.

Gomez also got that special supersweet 16 party. Friends joined her at L.A. nightspot Kress on Sunday to celebrate her future riches and takeover of the Disney tween fandom.

Best friend, and reported Jonas Brother moll, Demi Lovato was in attendance, as well as Kim and Khloe Kardashian, according to E's Marc Malkin.

Is that why Khloe was released from the joint so quickly? Disney has pull!
