Selena Gomez Finally Gets the Whole Twilight Thing

on Jun. 1, 2009 03:45 PM / 23 Comments

One would think that Selena Gomez would already be pretty well-versed in the Twilight vampire saga. After all, she's known to have a special connection to those involved with the project.

But the Wizards of Waverly Place star admits to OK! Magazine that she hasn't read any of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight books—and only recently got around to watching the Twilight film, which probably makes her the last 16-year-old girl on the face of the planet to have seen it.

Luckily, as it turns out, she enjoyed the cinematic exploits of Edward Cullen and company.

"It was good. It was really good," Gomez said of the flick at a press conference for her upcoming Disney Channel film Princess Protection Program on Saturday. "I really liked it."

And what was the most impressive element of the film for Gomez?

"I can totally see the Robert Pattinson thing now," Selena gushed. "That’s for sure."

Oh, snap! Is that a dig at Twilight star Taylor Lautner, who Gomez is rumored to have recently broken up with?

Selena must be picking up pointers about publicly humiliating ex-boyfriends from her pal Taylor Swift. After all, Swift knows a thing or two about the subject.

Have your say in the comments section: Do you think Selena was taking a swipe at Taylor Lautner by professing her crush on RPattz?

it could be more that she is avoiding talking about taylor at all and just keeping off that subject by saying she likes RPattz, i reckon its more that than making a dig at taylor..

Is it just me, or are her facial features too small for her face? It's like they are all really close to the center of her face. Right?

who wouldn't enjoy Rob Pattinson ON SCREEN( OR OFF)??

But i Think that her comment about Rob Wasen't necessary,, She should have told`` Yeah, the cast teem was really good`` or an other Fk**n commentary, that doesn't excluded TAYLER

Yes! I definitely think those were aimed at Taylor what's-his-name. Mainly because I don't think anyone could see Twilight and actually think it was "really good," especially if they want to have a future career as a serious actress.
But I concur, Robert Pattinson is a hottie.

I don't like Salena Gomez, but I do love Robert, and if I caught onto this.. I think that Salena doesn't have achance with him, he obviously likes Kristen and he wont go for someone 16! I am not sure if thats what this is about though.

16 years:Selena you are cute. You have the future ahead of you!!!

  • Haha, it was a total slam on Taylor Lautner. He must have a teenie weenie and blow his load too quick for her to lay that kind of smackdown on him in the public square.

How's it feel to have your ass handed to you by a 16-year-old girl, Tay?

I don't think that Sel and Tay broke up. It looks as though they are very much still together. If you go to the access hollywood website, there's an interview with him from the MTV movie awards. In it, he is asked about whether he is currently dating Selena, and he blushes and tries to avoids giving a straight answer, but says that she is a "great girl" and that he hopes that he isn't breaking any girls' hearts (by dating her, or at least that's what I think he means). Plus she same something similar in a TV Guide interview recently.
