Selena Gomez & Leighton Meester: New Hollywood BFFs?
Teen superstar Selena Gomez has lots of buddies in Hollywood, but the young star says that she has made a famous friend while filming in Europe this summer.
Selena opened up to M magazine about her new friendship with Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester,whom she met while they both filmed Monte Carlo.

When I started on the movie, I was just getting to know my co-stars Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy but we’ve become so close! They’ve experienced much more than me because they’re older so we have long talks and share stories. We’re inseparable! I feel better, like I’ve learned a lot about myself.
The 24-year-old Leighton has experienced a lot in her young life, with many parallels to Selena’s: She’s starred in films and a hit television show with a rabid fan following, and even recorded an album. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Katie has had roles on many hit shows such as Harper’s Island and the CW’s Melrose Place.

In Monte Carlo, the three actresses play three friends who take a trip to Paris and are whisked away to the posh resort town of Monte Carlo after one of them is mistaken for a wealthy heiress. The film also stars Glee‘s Cory Monteith.
Selena is also friends with Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato but it was rumored that she and Demi had a falling out last year.

Yes, I really love Selena & Leighton so I’m glad they have become friends. I love GG & WOWP & can’t wait for this movie to come out.
Selena seems like the type of person who’s a little shy at first and has trouble making friends. Since the whole thing with Demi last year, she’s really only had Taylor Swift. So I’m happy that she and Leighton are so close. And that she’s getting all these awesome oppurtunities. I feel she deserves it.

Selena’s carreer is blooming so fast that it’s amazing and am so happy for her.
The girl totally deserves it.
I’d much rather see her with Leighton or just about anyone else for that matter than with Kim Kardashian who she’s been photographed with now at 3 different public events.
