Selena Gomez Receiving Death Threats Over Alleged Justin Bieber Romance
Being a teen idol’s (alleged) new gal pal is rough stuff!
As first reported by TMZ, fans have taken to Twitter to express their displeasure over Selena Gomez’s possible make-out session with Justin Bieber aboard a yacht in Caribbean over the New Year.
Twitter is now flooded with graphic death threats against the young teen queen, some of which detail exactly what these fans think should happen to the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star should the two, in fact, be dating.
The young sensations have been dogged by hook-up rumors for some time now, as pics surfaced recently of the young stars leaving a local IHOP together in LA. Then Justin’s rep came to Celebuzz to shoot down rumors that they were snapped kissing just after Christmas. An online fan site had posted a photo of Justin smooching Selena, which Biebs’ rep told us unequivocally was a fake.

This is ridiculous. I understand that fans will get upset that their #1 person in the world is dating someone, but their is no need for threats. It just proves you don’t care for your idol at all. If you were really a fan, you would wish them happiness. If you’re going to get mad get angry at something more reasonable.

Death threats made by anyone should be traced & those who made them should have to face the authorities & the consequences.
12 yr olds, or any age, who are making these threats may think hiding behind a screen making them no one will know who it is or find them, maybe kids think Mom or Dad won’t find out. Maybe they think it’s funny. I’m sure Selena Gomez is aware of it being jealousy.
But who’s to say they wouldn’t do the same thing to someone who isn’t a star, someone they live around & get jealous because the cute guy they like likes another girl at their school? Haven’t we had enough kids at or close to this age hurting other kids by their words from behind a computer or text messages, even outright to other kids faces? We’ve lost enough kids to suicide from kids AND adults who got away bullying & making threats to other kids. Making a graphic death threat shouldn’t be tolerated any for any reason, no matter the age!
We’ve also lost stars from people who were jealous of whom the star was dating or imagined they were dating & were able to get near them to murder them. Maybe it’s far fetched that a 12 yr old could get close enough to Selena to harm her, but that 12 yr old is going to grow up, just like others who did carry through on their threats to a star.

This is where parents should step in and talk to their children. Yes, children/teens can be dramatic, but it shouldn’t get to a point to where they think making death threats to others (famous or not) is “ok” behavior.
