Serena Williams traded in her tennis racket for a surfboard while vacationing with her boyfriend, rapper Common, in Hawaii this week.

Though she had her share of wipeouts, Williams acquitted herself admirably while riding the waves—or at least looked more natural than she has in certain environments.

Have fun, you two! It’s nice to know that some celebrities can hit the waves without a riot breaking out.
