Shanna Moakler: Sadness at the Hospital
Shanna Moakler, Travis Barker‘s ex and the mother of his two children, was photographed crying outside the hospital Barker is staying in while recuperating from severe burns he sustained in a plane crash over the weekend.
Moakler’s face during her visit reveals the severity of Barker’s condition. Although he is expected to recover completely, it must be very difficult to see a loved one in that kind of state.
Shanna’s wearing of surgical headgear also demonstrates the extent of Barker’s burns. Hospital staff appear to be taking every step possible to prevent infection.
“There are not enough words to express how thankful we are for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this very difficult time,” Moakler said in a statement yesterday. “We can only ask for prayers as we heal and mourn the loss of our dear friends who we considered part of our family. Our lives will be changed forever.”
A source told People that Shanna “is there trying to lift his spirits. She’s there for him and will be there for him as long as it takes. She loves him.”
