It was a total squeaker, but 17-year-old Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson managed to hoof her way to a victory with dance partner Mark Ballas on last night's Dancing With the Stars season finale.
Johnson emerged triumphant over Gilles Marini and Melissa Rycroft after all three finalists earned a perfect 30 score from the judges during a final dance. When viewer votes were factored in, Johnson managed to walk away with the coveted mirror ball. Rycroft was the first to get the ax.
Host Tom Bergeron noted that Johnson beat out Marini by "less than one percent."
"I've learned I can be more than just a gymnast!" Johnson told Us Magazine afterward. "I've really grown as a person. This has really changed my life. This whole thing has been the time of my life—just an amazing experience."
"Shawn has improved every week, [and] she's really peaked over the last three weeks with the samba, the tango—they all showed consistent improvement," Ballas said of her partner.
Congratulations, Shawn!

Uggg disgusting! I'm so disappointed in the show. Shawn shouldn't have won.
YAY!! I WAS WAY EXCITED WHEN SHAWN WON... I THOUGHT SHE DID THE BEST LAST NIGHT!!
This makes up for her Olympic Silver medal. Slacker.
