Lucky with legalities Shia LaBeouf's new paranoid action thriller Eagle Eye opened atop the box office over the weekend, raking in $29.2 million.
This is his second big hit with director DJ Caruso. They also scored big in 2007 with Disturbia.
It's also the ham-handed actor's fourth number one flick.
Despite the movie's critical drubbing, E! reports that LaBeouf is showing a skill that film actors desperately need to possess—the ability to open a critically panned movie to big box office success.
Anyone who saw the last Indiana Jones flick (Indy fights aliens?) will know what that's all about.
