Simon Cowell: The $45 Million Man?
Though it seems next to impossible, Simon Cowell may soon be as rich as he is arrogant.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the prickly American Idol judge is close to finalizing a deal to stay on with the popular singing competition for the next three years, and it’s worth big bucks—a reported $45 million a year.
Cowell currently rakes in $36 million a year for his AI judging duties.
This follows news that Idol had re-inked host Ryan Seacrest at the rate of $15 million per year.
Recession? What recession?
It’s just odd that, with all the money they’re throwing around, the powers that be at Idol couldn’t see fir to meet recently departed American Idol judge Paula Abdul‘s relatively modest salary request.
