Ouch! The latest season of American Idol is due to begin its wrap tonight with a one-hour finale, leading to a two-hour results shows, and it's probably not a moment too soon for famously contentious AI judge Simon Cowell, judging by his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this morning.

Simon dropped by to promote the finale, but DeGeneres was more interested in upbraiding him for his cantankerous criticism of Idol contestants.
