A mother is locked behind bars and a precious two year old has gone missing. What is the story behind the disappearance of Caylee Anthony?
The drama began when Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony returned to her home, which she shared with her own mother, Cindy, after a month without her daughter! Apparently, Casey had told people that her daughter was staying with a nanny, but the alleged nanny had never even met anyone in the family.
Then, Casey changed her story, saying that she was trying to find Caylee on her own, leading investigators to Universal Studios Florida, where she claimed she had a job. However, she had been fired two years prior.
She was quickly taken into custody, where the story just gets stranger. Friends who had seen her in the month of Caylee's disappearance claimed she never acted out of the blue, and not once did she mention where her daughter was.
Rescue crews and close family remain optimistic about finding Caylee, but as the days go on, hope is harder to maintain.
