Singer Mindy McCready Checks Into Rehab

Troubled country artist Mindy McCready has entered rehab after an emergency visit to a Nashville, Tennessee, hospital.

The singer’s rep confirmed to Us, “Mindy McCready did receive emergency care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Other issues made it prudent for her to seek longer term and broader based treatment.

“To her credit, she has entered into an extended care facility where she will receive the care needed and for the moment we ask that everyone respect her privacy.”

There had been reports that McCready went into the facility after mixing vodka and Ambien in an alleged suicide attempt.

Sources say an on-again, off-again 17-year relationship with New York Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens had depressed her.

Looks like Mindy’s not the only singer totally stressed out by a Yankees player. Here’s wishing her a speedy, Locklear-like recovery!
