Well, too bad on the gays. You wanted to ram your dishusting lifestyle down our throats and get your little crusade put on the ballot. Well, be careful what you wish for. You wanted people to vote on it, and vote they did. You're all just pissed that the vote didn't go your way.
And congratulations to the California SUpreme Court for not caving in and going against the 54% of the population who think gay marriage is wrong. Congrats. Too bad weirdos.

I agree, with the first comment but we can have a little more tact. Its not what you say its how you say it. I do agree that the people voted and it should be upheld. I do not approve by any means of gay marriage. Marriage was not for a man and a man nor woman and woman but if you refer back to UR bible, marriage is between a woman and a man. I think that people that chose to be gay or what ever they have been hurt badly by a woman or a man and they just turn to the opp. sex for comfort and they need to be healed. But once again I'm truly happy that gay marriage had been banned. And Prop 8 is not hate but it's the TRUTH.

It doesn't matter what the people of California voted for. There are "certain unalienable Rights" that gaurantee that every individual in this nation has "...Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

Gay marriage does not infringe on your life, your liberty, or your pursuit of happiness. It doesn't infringe on any right or lifestyle you choose for yourself. Banning gay marriage does infringe of those inalienable rights of others.

If you do not believe in equality for everyone or any of what I mentioned above, you need to pach your sh*t and leave this free country. There are plenty of places around the world where stupidity, selfishness, and bigotry are welcome and practiced openly.

If you refer to the Bible, women are also property that can be bought and sold for a few head of goat or an ox, just so we are keeping things accurate. Additionally, gays don't want a HOLY marriage (which opponents can't seem to separate from LEGAL marriage). The ruling lets us know that our relationships are viewed as less legitimate than something that can be done drunk, naked, in a drive-thru, with a total stranger officiated by an Elvis impesonator. Since that is still a legal marriage, the claims that marriage has been protected are a fallacy and a total joke.

While I can understand having a strong opinion on such a controversial subject, the first comment here is incredibly saddening. "You wanted to ram your dishusting lifestyle down our throats" -- if this comment is a reflection of your religious belief, then I feel incredibly sorry for your lack of understanding of the Christian belief that everyone deserves to love and be loved.

As Tim also pointed out, the meaning of the Bible at the time it was written has already changed tremendously to keep up. I don't remotely claim to be an expert in the Bible, so I won't argue much on it. However, I hold out faith that eventually the times will shift in favor of finally extending the rights we are meant to have as Americans to EVERY American.

Wow glen, you're right. I should move to a place where my "stupid, selfish, and bigoted" views on marriage are welcome and in the majority. Hmm, Let's see, California, Florida, New York, Illinois, Washington, 40 other US states. I heard Europe is nice too. England, France, Germany, Italy. In fact, my views are the norm most places in the world.
