Stars Shine for Nelson Mandela’s 90th
Nelson Mandela turns 90 on July 18, but his birthday festivities are gearing up well in advance.
Celebrities from the world over are in London to celebrate the human symbol for freedom and equality’s special day.
Last night, a dinner party was held in London’s Hyde Park with guests including Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Uma Thurman, Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker and…Kim Cattrall(?).
What, Mandela is a fan of Sex and the City?! Well, he was in prison for a really long time.
The real party will be held on Friday in Hyde Park, with a concert featuring performances by Annie Lennox, Leona Lewis, Queen (who’s standing in for Freddie Mercury?) and, yes, Amy Winehouse.
It will be Crackhouse’s first gig since her emphysema diagnosis last week.
Maniacal supermodel Naomi Campbell will be on hand, according to her rep, despite reports that she has been axed by the big man himself because of her recent unseemly behavior: The tiny matter of her wearing a baseball cap adorned with the logo for Nelson’s AIDS charity 46664 at the time of her arrest. Mandela doesn’t need that kind of publicity, Nay-Nay.

Wow, 90. Wow.
