Those Jolie-Pitts are ever the philanthropic trendsetters. Call it good genes.
After Brad Pitt donated $100,000 to help defeat Proposition 8—a state ballot initiative that would reverse California's decision to overturn the gay marriage ban— Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw have also ponied up the same amount for the cause, reports People.
In a joint statement, Spielberg and Capshaw noted, "By writing discrimination into our state constitution, Proposition 8 seeks to eliminate the right of each and every citizen in our state to marry regardless of sexual orientation."
Well said, you two. This should be music to some stars' ears.
