Stevie Wonder Contemplates ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Fifty-eight-year-old musical legend Stevie Wonder may just well be the first ever blind contestant on ABC’s hit series Dancing with the Stars.

Stevie would have the dubious honor of joining Jackass stuntman Steve-O on the eighth season of the show.

“It’d be fun. It’s not impossible, but right now it’s just a thought,” Wonder is quoted by the Daily Mail. “Come on. You’ve got to think. If I have seven children, I’ve got to be able to dance right?”

The “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” singer also feels taking part in the show would be a fun way of shedding a few pounds.

“I think it’d be fun—working on my little stomach thing here and losing some more weight,” Wonder said. “I’d do dancing, I’d win the contest.”

Stevie, who rose to fame as a member the original Motown artist stable in the 1960s, has won 21 Grammys and an Oscar (for his 1984 hit “I Just Called To Say I Love You,” from the Woman in Red soundtrack).

Brooke Burke was crowned the winner of the recent seventh season of DWTS.
