Katie Holmes, 29, and two-year-old daughter Suri Cruise spent Sunday taking in some holiday cheer at the New York City Ballet's performance of The Nutcracker.

Suri seemed wowed by all the Christmas spectacle, or perhaps she was just tired from her busy charity schedule.

Katie's parents also attended.

Earlier, the 'rents and Suri hung out at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre for the matinee performance of Kate's play, All My Sons.

Suri, wearing a lovely red velvet dress, and Katie, in white knit cap, black slacks and maroon top, posed with performers from the famous ballet about one little girl's adventures with a suddenly-burst-to-life Nutcracker.

It's possible that Katie took Suri to the Sunday ballet to allow dad and Elvis impersonator Tom Cruise, 46, some time to rehearse this morning's apology to Matt Lauer on the Today show.

It was nice of Katie and Suri to allow him some alone time to practice his humility.
