Taylor Lautner a No-Go for ‘X-Men’ Sequel

Jul 7, 2010 at 4:20pm

Sorry, Taylor Lautner fans; you won’t be seeing your favorite werewolf get his mutant on anytime soon. Unless you count the freakish awesomeness of his abs.

Though rumor has it that the Eclipse hunk was poised to sign on with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in the upcoming X-Men: First Class, which is due to begin filming this summer, apparently such is not the case. E! Online tracked down Lautner’s reps to get the inside dirt on this exciting bit of casting news on Wednesday.

The verdict? “Not true,” according to Team Lautner.

Oh well; we can still look forward to T-Laut getting superheroic in the upcoming Stretch Armstrong adaptation. And we can always hope for a long-awaited sequel to the 2005 classic The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D
