Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez: Totally Over?
When Selena Gomez says she’s going through changes, she really means it.
Lainey Gossip reports that Gomez has split up with her rumored boyfriend, Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner. According to multiple sources, Gomez and Lautner called off their romance about a week ago. And to add insult to injury, Lautner reportedly blew off what would have been the couple’s last get-together in Toronto, without so much as an apologetic text message.
The pair spent tons of quality time together in Vancouver over the past couple of months, as Lautner filmed the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon and Gomez lensed her upcoming big-screen effort Ramona and Beezus. At one point they were reportedly spotted smooching at Gomez’s hotel when they thought no one was looking.
But now, apparently, it’s all over but the crying. According to Lainey Gossip’s sources, Lautner was put under a lot of pressure by his father and Summit Entertainment not to be seen with a girlfriend in public.
Guess Selena will have to look elsewhere for that fairy-tale romance she’s been pining for.

This is why I hate Twilight, the books and the movie weren’t even bad, just the fans annoy me to death. None of the guys are that attractive, in fact, I find Robert Pattinson quite gross (since when does looking like you never shower start becoming a look?), and the whole thing is an obsession rather than a genuine like. And Taylor was in the movie for all of 15 minutes, and people are practically fawning over him. Ugh, makes me gag.

Who’s to say they weren’t just friends after all…? They didn’t know each other personally before hand & just happened to be filming separate projects in the same city around the same time giving them an opportunity to hang out & get to know each other better. They are teenagers, it’s what kids do. So what if they went out on a few dates & smooched here & there or if it was a friends with benefits thing… It’s up to them, their prerogative & basically no one else’s business apart from those involved. All his other cast members were a little older than he was so if anything was going on between any of them, I’m sure the media would’ve had a field trip with the tabloids – Taylor dating older woman! So what if he got to know someone his own age?
Just because they have fame doesn’t mean they aren’t entitled to a private life like the rest of us. The media should respect that & only involve themselves at promoted events like red carpet industry events. He’s finished filming, they had a great time together & he’s back at home for a bit before starting Eclipse & anything in between… Maybe they may continue things down the track but maybe not. This is exactly why they were keeping what their relationship really is / was to each other under wraps, so there was no speculation & stories or Chinese whispers about it. Geez people, leave the kid alone to have a life which is more than I can say about everyone else without one so quick to fill up their boring life to gossip about someone else’s!
I honestly don’t believe that he would be so careless to be disrespectful of Selena in such away that he wouldn’t give her the common courtesy of a phone call / explanation. His parents brought him up better than that (despite comments referring to his father as well as summit convincing him to dump her). It seems a lil out of character for Taylor & how I’ve seen him conduct himself. Besides, he’d lose more fans by being that kind of jerk than he would gaining more because they think he’s a free agent.
