Dr. Shawn Nasseri has confided to Us magazine that he is treating Gossip Girl actress and provocative dresser Taylor Momsen for a potentially deadly throat infection.

"She has been hospitalized since Sunday," reveals the doctor.  "After aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days."

A source close to 15-year-old Taylor says the party lover woke up with a sore throat in Los Angeles at the end of last week.

She was scheduled to board a plane that day, but was advised to consult an ear, nose and throat specialist before returning to New York and filming the show.

The doctor said no go, and confined the slinky blonde to quarters so she could fatten rest up.

If Taylor is as precocious as she often appears, she should be able to use this downtime to leverage that spin-off back into development!
