Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas: New Years Eve Reunion
Among the acts that have been announced for that old New Years Eve classic “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” are Taylor Swift, 18, and the Jonas Brothers, according to Us.
This could get a little uncomfortable. Swift and Jonas brother Joe Jonas, 19, had one of the more memorable break-ups of 2008.
Swift has claimed that she was dumped by Jonas in a 27-second cell phone call.
She even went on the Ellen DeGeneres show to report this fact.
Swift’s 2008 ended on some rocky notes. Besides getting the brush via cell phone, she was also snubbed at the Grammy nominations this year. Even though she hosted the nominations show!
Jonas and Swift will be joining Kellie Pickler for the live NYC New Years party in Times Square hosted by pop media powerhouse Ryan Seacrest.
Pre-taped performance segments for the Hollywood part of the show will feature Natasha Bedingfield, Fall Out Boy, Jesse McCartney, Ne-Yo, Pussycat Dolls, Solange Knowles and Robin Thicke.
The bumpalicious Fergie will host the West Coast side of the event.
But as for Swift and Jonas performing at the same venue, and on the same night?
There might be a little tension if they end up in side-by-side chairs in the make-up room.
