People reports that 18-year-old country wunderkind Taylor Swift voted for the first time in her young life on Thursday. Doing her civic duty made her feel so "completely American."
"The line wrapped around the building," she says, "but I can honestly tell you that it was worth the wait. I felt like I really accomplished something special. Afterwards you feel so good."
The American Music Awards nominee took advantage of Tennessee's early voting availability because she is due to appear on Ellen on November 4. She even passed out autographs in line.
And who did she vote for? No, you're not supposed to ask but everyone still wonders.
"I went with my gut instinct," she says. "I wavered back and forth the entire time I was waiting in line and when I got into the voting booth, I said, 'That's the one I'm voting for,' and I pressed the button. And I feel good about it!"
