Tiger Woods Admits He's 'Sad' About Divorce (VIDEO)
Tiger Woods isn't letting his ex-wife Elin Nordegren have the last word over their divorce.
Following Nordegren's post-divorce cover story in People magazine, golf legend Woods discussed the split, which was finalized on Monday, during a press conference at the Barclays golf tournament in New Jersey.
Said Woods of his new ex-wife Nordegren,
"I wish her the best in everything. It's a sad time in our lives. And we're looking forward to how we can help our kids the best way we possibly can. And that's the most important thing."
Woods denied that he was "relieved" now that the divorce had been finalized, noting,
"I think it's just more sadness. Because I don't think you ever – you don't ever go into a marriage looking to get divorced. That's the thing. That's why it is sad."
The linksman also acknowledged that he brought the cheating scandal that destroyed his marriage upon himself, citing "errors" that he'd made:
"My actions certainly led us to this decision. And I've certainly made a lot of errors in my life and that's something I'm going to have to live with."
