Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are engaged. For real this time.
People reports that the injured New England Patriot, 31, and the internationally famous supermodel, 28, got engaged on Friday with Gisele receiving a diamond solitaire.
"He asked and she accepted," a source says.
Longtime couple Tom and Gisele were the subject of engagement rumors on Christmas Eve. It was reported that Tom had proposed to the Brazilian beauty on a private jet en route from New Jersey to Boston.
The reports turned out to be false.
The path to wedded bliss seems to have been laid for the two for some time.
Not only did Brady purchase a plot of land in Los Angeles for them to build a house on, but Gisele is an obvious mother figure to his 17-month-old son John. John's mom is 37-year-old actress Bridget Moynahan. (Bridget was pregnant with John when Tom started his relationship with Gisele.)
What's next? Well, Tom and Gis spent the weekend telling the good news to friends and family. And Gisele will reportedly spend this week rounding up her model friends to help plan the wedding.
"The couple is discussing a huge fashionista event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home," the source says.
