Sounds like Tom Brady has been going overboard with his recreational pursuits.

People magazine reports that the New England Patriots quarterback had to be rescued from the Charles River after falling out of his kayak while boating with wife Gisele Bundchen.

Local schoolteacher Robin Leeds, who fished Brady out of the drink, recalls, "We were tying up our boat to a buoy and the boat boy came over and said, 'You are never going to guess who is on the Charles renting kayaks right now … Do you want to go check it out?'  I said, 'Yeah.' "

Going in for a closer look in a motorboat, Leeds noticed that Brady had fallen out of his kayak and was attempting to stay afloat in the water. Acting quickly, the educator pulled him into her boat.

"I actually asked him why he fell in. He said he was racing one of his friends," Leeds recalls, adding that Brady was "really friendly, really appreciative that we fished him out of the Charles."

After safely ushering Brady to shore, Leeds posed for a pic with the pigskin tosser and chatted with his little missus. "I talked with Gisele. We talked about how beautiful the weather was," Leeds recounts.

Sure. Sounds like it was a great day for a swim.
