I don’t understand why we have to love one show and hate the other?!! I am a fan of vampires period… I have been since Anne Rice and The Lost Boys!!! Why can’t we appreciate each for their differences and just enjoy the shows/books? I like them both and have enjoyed reading the books that have preceded them as well!!!! Get over it!!! They are both good!!!

True Blood’s a piece of crap just like Twilight is. Neither of them is a Buffy, and neither of them is a gem, but Rob’s definitely got more fans so I don’t know. I agree with Edward being a pussy but they really both are. Who cares.

OH HELL NO!!! I am a VAMPIRE FLICK/T.V./BOOK fan and can appreciate all types of vamps. Vampire stories are great because you can change it up to to have DIFFERENT styles, looks, and personalities. This MOYER guys is just JEALOUS cuz Edward Cullen/RPattz is WAY HOTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find it hilarious that almost all the comments bashing True Blood or Stephen have HUGE misspellings or horrible grammar. XD Stephen was obviously NOT talking about Rob, whom I dislike anyways. He was talking about EDWARD. And really, what he was saying is completely true. The Twilight series is marketed at younger audiences, whereas True Blood is aimed at a more mature market. And the people that are say that Stephen is “just jealous cuz RPattz is hotter then u!” really need to calm down. Stephen stars in an amazing show, is dating Anna Paquin in real life, and has two lovely children; he has NOTHING to be jealous of.

Very well said Bumblebri, each vampire movie is different, but they are all great. There is a lot we could nit pick at in each movie but why? Why not just watch/read them and love them for what they are.

True Blood [The Sookie Stackhouse Series] came WAY before twilight and as far as it’s far better than anything SMEYER’s made. D8< Twilight is an “OK” book but True blood defines it all. The vampires are badass, and i’m pretty sure bill could beat edward’s ass hands down. XDDDD

there would most certainly be a true blood without twilight, considering charlaine harris did her first sookie stackhouse book 4 years before twilight came out… actually, at least 4 sookie books were out by the time twilight came out.

You shouldn’t say he’s jealous because of his character, because he’s not his character. Bill Compton can’t be jealous fo Edward because they’re not real. By the way, Bill is not 40, and even if Edward is 17, Robert is not, so don’t say that Stephen is jealous of Edward (refering to Rob) saying he’s 17, cause Edward (meaning Rob) is 23.

if true blood was that good wouldnt they have made a movie for all the books….but for twilght they made movies and won awards and true blood just ended up with a cheezzy show on tv…..so people who keep putting down twilight…think abt it…n once again TWILIGHT RULES…and all the characters in them especailly EDWARD….

True Blood was selling millions before Twilight even existed. And Twilight sold more, yes, but Disaster Movie had more benefits than Rachel Getting Married and other incredibly good movies, and it’s not better than them. You can’t compare Slumdog Millionaire, The Changeling and movies with such a great script with Transformers, which almost hasn’t got script, but sells more.
