The Truth About the 'X-Files'

Be on the lookout for sci-fi geeks dressed up as their favorite X-Files aliens. The highly anticipated movie, The X Files: I Want to Believe, opened nationwide on Friday.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson played special agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully on the cult series, The X-Files, from 1993 to 2002. They also scored big with their 1998 hit movie with the same title—$189 million to be exact. 

What have they been up to for the past six years? Luckily, they escaped the ugly fate of many popular characters on hit shows and have reinvented their careers:

Californiacation. It's this little series on Showtime. David plays Hank Moody and has to sleep with every hot chick in L.A. and Malibu. It's a pretty sweet deal.

Gillian has appeared in stage productions and many films, including The Last King of Scotland. Oh, and she also got married, divorced, had a kid, and is now pregnant again. 

They've both been busy, but nothing can quite satisfy our thirst like another exciting conspiracy that is The X-Files.

Trust no one...but them.
